Nigel Peake interview
A rather nice little film for Channel 4 of Nigel talking about his work, his inspiration and some quite hypnotic close-ups of him drawing.

Series Three Prints Out Now
Well, they are finally here - a couple of hiccups along the way but yesss, they're here. And looking very fine.
French's 3-colour 'Boar Tree' characteristically combines amazingly detailed line-work with a slightly twisted subject. Rachel Cattle is best known for her beautiful pencil drawings, so simple and yet suggesting a darker story unfolding. Her axe is one colour print, a graphite/grey. Tom Gauld's 'Gigantic Robot' is a fantastically huge, classic Tom Gauld robot, his gorgeous hand-drawn lines in black on top of silver.
So my friends, we hope you like them too. They're all ready and waiting for you here.

Supermundane is Wonderful
Supermundane, who took part in Early Griffin series 1, has a shiny new site (although I'm maybe a month or two late on this....). Lots of new work to wonder at so spend some time.

More Nigel Peake Goodness for you and me
The talented Mr Peake has been busy as ever - he's taking part in the awesome Needles and Pens 5 year anniversary group show and has a new Subtle Circle project release out - his collab with the equally talented Ms Finch of Tiny Showcase fame.
In the words of Will Bryant, ''I love nice people who make cool things'' .

Series Three launching soon
Just back from printing the proofs for series 3 and we're really excited about these. Really, really excited.
And so we are very proud to tell you that series 3 is by French, Rachel Cattle and Tom Gauld (pictured above is a peek of his print). I have really liked these three artists for some time now. And while their styles are pretty different from each other, there is a thread that ties these together really nicely, all three images are slightly (but only slightly) sinister.
There is a little tweeking to be done but they are looking pretty fine and photo's of the final edition will be posted here soon. In the meantime you can have some more peeks here.
the prolific Mr Nigel Peake...
...has been very busy - he has a show opening at Amble in Philidelphia with Ephemaron on Thursday 10 April - go have a look if you can, it will be a good one. He has also designed a collection of outdoor wares for Habitat and produced some beautiful new photographic zines which are available to buy here. Mmmmmm.
Robert Hanson has a new site...
...and splendid it is too, have a look. Looking forward to seeing a copy of his Circular 2 - I like it's gentle sense of humour, similar to his work in Running Amok 17.
For anyone who may be thinking about purchasing one of his lovely Early Griffin prints, you should hit that buy button now as there are only a couple left.

Robert Hanson's Tiny Showcase
The lovely people over at Tiny Showcase are releasing a limited edition letterpress print by Robert Hanson on Tuesday 11th December, or rather 12.30am on Wednesday 12th if you live over here in the UK. If you don't know Tiny Showcase - you need to get on their site right now, they release an edition each week and it is always a beautiful piece. Previous Early Griffiner Nigel Peake, did a fantastic Tiny Showcase print back in August. Anyway, if you're planning on getting one of Robert's, the very best of luck to you, I absolutely know it's going to sell out fast.

New Anorak
Just been thumbing through the new issue of Anorak, the fantastic kids magazine (which is actually for big kids I reckon). If you haven't seen Anorak already, each issue is packed full of artwork by Supermundane (who also Art Directs it) and other guest illustrators. This issue's theme is 'fear'. Rraaarr.
New website
Yay, our website is now up and running, a huge thanks to Elph for building it and to Nigel for the logo. Go have a look - our first 3 prints are by Nigel Peake, Supermundane and Zakee Shariff. They are gorgeous so brace yourself, you may want to buy them all....
